Overview
CineZone is a web-based video streaming platform designed to deliver a clean, cinematic viewing experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. The platform supports video uploads and external video links, automatic and custom thumbnails, configurable free-preview durations, premium packages, and an integrated payment-request workflow using bKash.
Free users can watch a limited portion of a video before being prompted to purchase premium access or contact the administrator through Telegram. Administrators can manage video content, advertisements, packages, payment requests, and user accounts from a centralized dashboard.
What I built
I developed a responsive video streaming interface and Laravel-based application workflows, including the homepage, video catalog, individual watch pages, premium access prompts, administrator-controlled preview durations, video publishing, thumbnail management, advertisement settings, payment requests, and user moderation.
The platform was designed around a black-and-white visual style with a clean, cinematic layout and clear navigation between free content, premium features, and account management.
Why I built it
The goal was to create a streamlined alternative to large video platforms, with administrator-controlled publishing, configurable previews, premium subscriptions, and simple payment and support flows. The platform was designed to help content administrators manage their libraries while giving viewers a straightforward way to discover videos and unlock full-length playback.
Problems solved
Centralized video upload and publishing workflow.
Support for uploaded videos and configured external video sources.
Automatic thumbnail generation where supported, with optional custom thumbnails.
Configurable free-preview duration for individual videos.
Clear premium upgrade and Telegram contact options.
bKash payment requests and administrator review.
Centralized management of users, packages, advertisements, and site settings.
Responsive interfaces for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
What I learned
This project strengthened my experience with Laravel application workflows, dynamic content management, video metadata and thumbnails, configurable access rules, subscription logic, payment-request states, administrative dashboards, and responsive UI development.
It also highlighted the importance of implementing media protection at the delivery layer. Disabling download controls in the interface can discourage casual saving, but reliable protection against external download tools and screen recording requires appropriate server-side controls and supported DRM technology.
